About the Binding

Our Bibles are exclusively produced at Robert F. Lewis / Lewis Bible Bindery, which specializes in the highest quality leather Bibles. All of our covers are "leather-lined style" with either leather or bonded leather linings. Carefully joining the cover to the Bible using several flexible components eliminates restrictions and stress points often found in paste-of for glue-bound methods. This unique style of binding offers the utmost in flexibility, thus allowing it to withstand years of continuous use.

Calfskin/Cowhide:
Only top grain hides are used to produce a very durable cover allowing for smooth or minimal grain.

Morocco:
Long wearing high quality goatskin usually hand grained Morocco grain. A standard in traditional Bible bindings.

Genuine Leather:
Binding quality leather, finished and prepared for durability, and an attractive appearance.
